National Geographic / Brita | Planet or Plastic
Being a part of 2c’s Creative team I’m pleased to contribute to this amazing project as a colorist. I had a chance to work with talented artists, raise awareness about plastic pollution, and split the idea I truly believe in.
National Geographic employed its unique documentary-style filmmaking to introduce the Brita purpose to drive behavior change throughout three digital videos. The first follows photographer Pete McBride who explores the Rio Grande River, where he discovers how plastic bottled water is impacting the environment.
From the early dawn till the very sunset the production took few days. Arri Alexa Mini, Canon c300, Mavic 2 Pro were used to capture the journey. With the help of color, my main goal was to emphasize the contrast of pure nature’s beauty to how degrading can it look being mixed with the human self-interest and improper use of plastic waste. By the end of the spot, hues become more vibrant and warm emphasizing the feasibility to withdraw from the otherwise inevitable deterioration.
